Location: EPCOT area

Description:

Experience the charm and whimsy of turn-of-the-century Atlantic City at this waterfront Resort hotel. Make a splash at Luna Park Pool and delight in a massage at the state-of-the-art fitness center. Discover carnival games, unique dining and exciting nightlife on the Coney Island-style boardwalk. Strung like saltwater taffy along the shimmering Crescent Lake, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Hotel is located within walking distance to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Our Take

Because the hotel sits right along the BoardWalk guests staying at the hotel can literally walk right outside the hotel and be immersed in tons of activities including shopping, dining, games, and even bike rentals. At night you can catch the game at ESPN Club or a live magic-comedy show featuring Coney Island Chris and other performers. There’s something for everyone on the BoardWalk!

Boardwalk Inn Hotel Review

Guests luck enough to stay at the BoardWalk Inn hotel during the holiday season will get to experience the life-size gingerbread house located in the lobby of the hotel. It’s typically set-up around the 2-3rd week of November and sells freshly made gingerbread cookies and other fun item.

There’s a pool located towards the back of the resort that’s hardly ever in use because most people go to the main pool with the carnival slide and drinks area. It’s a great pool to relax in and does have a hot tub as well.

From the lobby there are two sections of the hotel. One is DVC rooms and the other is regular guest rooms. DVC rooms are to the right of the lobby and regular guest rooms are to the left.

There is a small store just off the lobby that has sunscreen and some merchandise and snacks. Just outside and down the stairs to the left there is an even bigger store that sell a lot more including baked goods, grocery store items including milk and cereal, and much more park merchandise. It’s worth the walk down there.

You can walk to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT from this hotel; it’s one of our favorite features. The sidewalk to get to Hollywood Studios is out towards the DVC section of the hotel. Go to ground level and then walk left once you’re on the Boardwalk. For EPCOT go right. You can also take a ferry boat to both parks though depending on your timing it’s faster to walk.

Rent a 4 or 5 person bike and ride it around the Boardwalk. The rental place is right in front of the hotel just beyond the grassy area. Everyone gets to pedal and it’s a great family/friend activity!

Pros:

  • Walt to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
  • That means less busing!
  • BoardWalk Entertainment District right outside the hotel.
  • Amazing lake views and ferry boats at your service.

Cons:

  • Pricey but what isn’t at Walt Disney World!
  • Older-ish rooms but nothing to fret about.
