Getting Around the Disney Parks For Less

Part of your Disney vacation experience includes a lot of travelling. Not just getting to the parks but once you arrive as well. While there are several options out there for transportation there are only a few that we would recommend.

Airport Transportation

Once you’ve arrived to LA or Orlando you still need to figure out how to get from the airport to your hotel or the resort. In Orlando if you’re staying on property we would always suggest using Disney’s Magical Express, a free shuttle bus from MCO to your hotel. You can schedule the bus here after you’ve booked your property hotel.

In Anaheim, if you’ve flown into SNA – Orange County or LAX you can take the Disneyland Express. It will drop you off at your hotel and is typically available every hour. Book your reservation in advance here or just pay once you get on the bus. Use coupon code AOC to save $10 off a RT ticket from LAX.

For everyone else we would suggest using LYFT or Uber to help you get from the airport to your hotel or the resort. They are much cheaper than a taxi and are readily available for all airports. A trip from Long Beach Airport or Orange County Airport will cost you about $25 for up to 4 people. From LAX it will cost your about $35-$40.

From Orlando Intl. Airport to Walt Disney World it will cost you about $40, again, if you didn’t sign up for the free transportation on Disney’s Magical Express.

Getting a ride is as simple as installing the app for either company and request your first ride. You can even use our LYFT coupon code parksavers50 or Uber code uberparksavers20. You’ll receive up to $20 off your first ride with each company.

Getting Around the Resort

Once you’re at the parks getting around when needed can also get pricey if you’re thinking about renting a car or taking taxi’s.

One thing to keep in mind is that rental cars cost per day but they also can incur parking fees at your hotel and/or the parks. This adds up fast with parking costing $20+ per day and a hotel parking fee of $10+ per day.

In Orlando at Disney World be sure to utilize the free bus transportation from your hotel to the parks and from park to park. This is available to all guests whether you’re staying on property or not.

Now if you don’t want to wait in long bus lines or you need to get to a store for any reason we would suggest taking a LYFT or Uber. From park to park they can be as little as $6-$8 per ride and are readily available.

At Disneyland in Anaheim we would suggest doing the same, using a LYFT or Uber to get around. There is a LYFT and Uber drop off point just outside the main entrance on the East side of the Resort or you can have them drop you off at Downtown Disney. Do not ask them to drop you off at a Disney Hotel. For security reasons the Cast Members will have the driver take you elsewhere as the hotel is for registered guests only.

Following these suggestions can help you save several hundred dollars on your next Disney vacation just in the transportation part of your trip. For even more savings on hotels, packages and tickets be sure to visit https://www.parksavers.com.
