The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is probably our favorite part of the Universal Studios Orlando theme parks. The Wizarding World comes in two parts: Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios. If you want the full Wizarding World Experience, you’ll have to visit both parks—and we do recommend doing so. You can travel between the two parks with a Park-to-Park admission ticket on the Hogwarts Express traveling from King’s Cross Station in London at Universal Studios Florida to Hogsmeade Station in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Consider buying a wand and using it to cast spells in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. And don’t forget to grab a cup of Butterbeer!

Age Group: Young Kids, Tweens, Teens, Adults
Diagon Alley: From Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes to Quality Quidditch Supplies, the shops at Diagon Alley are immersive and house a treasure-trove of fan memorabilia. Ollivanders Wand Shop has a show you don’t want to miss—Ollivanders Wand Selection Ceremony! For those interested in the Dark Arts, go to Borgin and Burkes hidden inside Knockturn Alley. For food, we recommend stopping by Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour for some Butterbeer ice cream and going to The Leaky Cauldron for lunch or dinner. And, of course, the rides are out of this world! Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is a roller coaster that uses screens and special eects to make an immersive experience.
Hogsmeade: With snow topped shops and cobblestone streets, Hogsmeade feels like a true wizarding village. Hogwarts Castle overlooks Hogsmeade and houses one of our favorite rides: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. This ride is a hybrid roller coaster that uses robotics and motion simulation. Guests sit on a robotic arm that flies through Hogwarts, the Quidditch Pitch, and the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is an outdoor roller coaster featuring animatronic magical creatures, and the Flight of the Hippogri is a kids coaster that is fun for the whole family. For a bite to eat, stop by the Three Broomsticks to order yourself some food and a pint of Butterbeer then stop by Honeydukes for a sweet treat.
