With Disney Springs reopening May 20th, the Walt Disney Company is hammering down on safety for their guests while letting them know they also assume all risk when visiting.
In a statement released this week by the company, guests will have to assume liability for their own health when visiting the resort.
Temperatures will be taken at all entrances to restaurants and shopping stores. Face masks will also be mandatory for all guests.
Hand sanitizing stations will also be placed at entrances and parking will be limited.
Disney Springs is the first resort location to be opening since mid-March. CEO Bob Chapek has made it clear that the parks will only reopen if guests can follow the rules set forth by Disney and that things go well with Disney Springs.

“We have taken enhanced health and safety measures-for you, our other Guests, and Cast Members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19
Let’s keep each other healthy and safe.”
