We love staying at the Yacht Club Hotel for our visits to Walt Disney World. We recommend it so much because of its location and nightlife. The hotel is located in the EPCOT area and features the Boardwalk Entertainment District within a few minutes of walking. We’ve always rated this hotel 5 out of 5 stars not just for location but service and amenities too.

Sharing many amenities with its pastel-toned sister, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Hotel is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Our Take
This will sound very similar to the Beach Club Resort. It’s because they are sister resorts that share many amenities.
The Yacht Club Hotel is located in the EPCOT area of Walt Disney World and features some really cool amenities including a massive pool area (the best one at Disney World), the Boardwalk Entertainment District, ferry boats and tons of walking paths including options to walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios which we highly recommend.
The hotel is home to Beaches and Cream, the best ice cream shop at Disney World and features the kitchen sink challenge: 8 scoops of ice cream, every topping possible and an entire can of whipped cream. Try doing it with 3-4 other people and eat quick! The ice cream melts fast and it becomes a pool of melted flavors!
The pool for the Yacht Club Hotel is 3 acres of awesome including a shipwrecked pirate boat and a really fun water slide. The pool is technically shared with the the Beach Club Resort as well but because of its size it’s no big deal. In the summer time get out early for some shaded chairs!
The Yachtsman Steakhouse is a really great place to get breakfast in the morning. They have a la carte or a buffet to choose from with really great offerings. It’s also a great place to enjoy a delicious steak in the evening time. Be sure to make reservations for either as they tend to fill-up quick!
Pros:
- Walk to two theme parks and the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom.
- That means less busing than most resorts!
- Best pool at Walt Disney World hands down.
- Boardwalk Entertainment District is just a few steps away.
- Amazing lake views and ferry boats for the parks.
- Boat rentals are available from the Yacht Club dock.
Cons:
- Pricey but when it comes to Disney World what isn’t?!
- Just a bit further of a walk to and from the theme parks but nothing to complain about unless you just really want to be as close as possible.
