  • Robin Williams’ voice returns as Genie from ‘Aladdin’ in new Disney short: In a new short film titled “Once Upon a Studio,” Disney has brought back the voice of the late Robin Williams as the Genie from ‘Aladdin’. The short film features 543 characters from 85 feature and short films, all recreated without the use of AI. The project took over eight months to complete and includes the voices of at least 40 original voice guests including Jodi Benson (Ariel), Jeremy Irons (Scar), Idina Menzel (Elsa), and Kristen Bell (Anna).
  • Disney’s 100-year anniversary celebration: Disney is celebrating its 100-year anniversary with the release of the short film “Once Upon a Studio.” The film is available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu and will also air on Disney Channel, Freeform, FX, and other Disney networks. It will also play in front of the Disney100 special engagement of Moana, in select theaters through Thursday, October 26.
  • ‘Hey Disney!’ voice assistant now available for Alexa devices: Disney and Amazon have launched the “Hey Disney!” voice assistant on the Alexa Skills store. With “Hey Disney!”, users can access interactive Disney storytelling experiences and entertainment, as well as content like jokes, fun facts, and special surprises featuring Disney characters.
  • Disney’s stock performance: As of the latest update, Walt Disney Co’s stock price is at 81.89, down by 3.68%. The company’s market cap is at 149.85B with a 10-day average volume of 16.81M.
  • Disney’s commitment to diversity: Disney has stated its commitment to creating stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience around the globe. The company has brought together a group of experts from outside the company to advise them as they assess their content and ensure it accurately represents their global audiences.
