Guests are allowed to take in their own food and beverages so if you want to bring a cooler full of whatever you want, go ahead! Just note that security will check it before you enter but that’s it. If you have a stroller or a wagon we would suggest keeping the cooler there or even a backpack is fine. Lockers are available for storage but they are not the big.

When to visit Disney World Magic Kingdom

Weekends are usually a really busy time to visit Disney World Magic Kingdom so if at all possible try to avoid those days. Tues. thru Thursday are typically the slowest days to visit. If you’re going to stay late for the fireworks be prepared to wait in longer bus lines and monorail lines as the massive crowd that’s there is also going to leave right after the show. Sometime the best seat is towards the main entrance so you can make a quick escape once the show is done.

Summer is also a very hot and busy time to visit Magic Kingdom. Crowd levels rise and the humidity can get to you very quickly. Come prepared with misting fans and lots of water. Speaking of water, guests can receive free cups of ice water at any quick service restaurant throughout the park. Just wait in line and ask a Cast Member for them. They’ll give you as many as you’d like and it’s a great way to save money and stay cool.

Our favorite times to visit Magic Kingdom are in Sept. and February. The weather has cooled and the crowd have gone away for school. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is going on in Sept. and Oct. and are worth the additional cost. It’s the only time you can dress up and trick or treat in the Magic Kingdom!
