Types of tickets

There are 3 types of Disneyworldtickets available for purchase. Each one has its own value to a group so be sure to read about each one before deciding.

Base tickets allow guests to go to 1 park per day. This means once you choose and enter a park you have to stay there the entire day. You cannot switch between parks. While this park ticket is cheaper than the other options it doesn’t offer much flexibility.

Park Hopper tickets allow guests to go between all 4 parks as much as they want each day. You’d not tied down to one park for the entire day. We love this ticket because it offers a lot of flexibility especially if one park is busier than another. This ticket does cost a bit more but we feel it’s worth the additional monies.

Park Hopper Plus Disneyworldtickets is the top of the line ticket. It offers the you hopping option, so access to all 4 parks as much as you want each day, plus it gives you some extra visits to places like both Disney waterparks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, miniature golfing, 9 holes at Oak Trail Gold Course and more.

The nice thing about the Park Hopper Plus ticket is that you don’t have to use the plus options on the same day you go to the parks. If you got a 7 day park hopper plus ticket you could spend 7 days in the parks and then 7 more days at the water parks or golfing. Just keep in mind that all options and days expire 14 days after first use.

FastPass+

Let’s get you up to speed with FastPass+ service. Follow these quick steps and you’ll be riding the fast lane to fun in no time:

  1. Add people to your Family & Friends list to enable you to reserve access to FastPass+ attractions and entertainment for them.
  2. Link your vacation package, link your tickets or link your annual pass to your Disney account. If you purchased online, the package, Disneyworldtickets or passes may have been linked automatically.
  3. Reserve access to FastPass+ attractions and entertainment for each day that you have a valid theme park ticket linked to your Disney account.
  4. Visit the theme park on the day that you have FastPass+ selections.
  5. Go to the FastPass+ entrance or viewing area for the selected attraction or show during the designated arrival window time.

You can choose your FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of your visit—starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in for the entire length of your stay.

After you redeem your initial 3 selections, use the app or head to a kiosk to make another selection—even if you’re in a different park from your original selections! This will enhance your Disneyworldtickets!

Valid theme park admission is required. FastPass+ attractions and entertainment experiences, the number of selections you can make and available arrival windows are limited. Making advance FastPass+ selections requires online registration.

MagicBands

MagicBands and cards are secure all-in-one devices that allow you to effortlessly access the plans and vacation choices that you’ve made with My Disney Experience.

MagicBands are colorful, waterproof wristbands—resembling a watch or bracelet—that you can quickly and easily touch to a sensor called a touch point. Cards work in a similar fashion, but physically resemble a plastic credit card or driver’s license. Both MagicBands and cards allow you to travel lighter throughout your vacation. All Disneyworldtickets are RFID enabled.

You can use your MagicBand or card to:

  • Unlock the door of your Disney Resort hotel room.
  • Enter theme and water parks (with valid admission).
  • Check in at FastPass+ entrances.
  • Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account.
  • Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).

A MagicBand can also:

  • Add a touch of magic to your vacation by unlocking special surprises, personalized just for you, throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!

You will automatically receive a MagicBand if you stay at a Disney Resort hotel or if you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. If you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel and are not a Passholder, you will receive a card when you purchase tickets for park admission.

Once your MagicBands or cards have been linked to your My Disney Experience account, they can be used interchangeably.

In addition, Guests can purchase MagicBands online, from the Shop Disney Parks app, or at select Walt Disney World shops and at other retail locations. Some special offers can even include limited-edition MagicBands, which may trigger enchanting surprises—like light and sound effects—when you use them at a touch point.
