With parts of the new San Fransokyo Square opening for business in the next week and the rest set to make its debut sometime around mid-August, excitement is building over the newest neighborhood to join Disney California Adventure Park. We don’t know about you, but along with the Big Hero 6-inspired theming taking over the former Pacific Wharf area, we’re most looking forward to the new food and beverage offerings joining the lineup. (Don’t worry—the Boudin Bakery Tour and sourdough bread bowls aren’t going anywhere.)
Befitting San Francisco-meets-Tokyo mashup of cultures, San Fransokyo Square’s dining options will highlight the best that both California and Japan have to offer. Think Mexican, Japanese and coastal Californian fusion dishes and drinks like Japanese-style curry in a sourdough bread bowl, clam chowder with a splash of miso, Mexican street corn sprinkled with bonito flakes, birria ramen and refreshing sips featuring ingredients like yuzu, lychee and soju.
