Global Marketplaces: Epcot Food and Wine Festival 2023 Food Booths

Yummy food and drinks have become one of the highlights of other Epcot festivals like the Festival of the Arts or the International Flower and Garden Festival, but they have always been at the heart of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

For this popular foodie event, you’ll set out on a mouthwatering adventure across 6 continents. Each year, global marketplaces (that’s Disney speak for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival food booths), are scattered throughout World Showcase and into Future World. Booths dish up a cornucopia of flavors, from traditional tastes and cooking styles from countries around the world to stateside-inspired favorites with an autumnal twist.

In 2023, guests will have their pick of 29 limited-time food booths, including four brand-new global marketplaces: Char & Chop, Wine & Wedge, Bubble & Brine and Swirled Showcase. There, you’ll find a TON of fresh things to try over 30 new food items and more than 40 new drinks.

Can’t Decide? Make Things Cheesy With Emile’s Fromage Montage

Whether you’re a foodie, craft beer enthusiast, or wine connoisseur, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is a feast for the senses. And the tastebuds, of course. However, a ticket to Epcot this time of year comes with more than just access to some really fun rides, it also comes with one delicious dilemma. No, not how to fit all of it into your stomach. That would truly take some Disney magic. Instead, how do you narrow it all down?

Luckily, as the head chef of this savory soiree, Disney has picked some of the best dishes for you to try with Emile’s Fromage Montage. French for cheese, Emile’s Fromage Montage will steer you through some of the festival’s most ooey-gooey eats – and reward you with a free prize for all your hard work. To participate, simply collect the stamps for each of the dishes you try along the way in your Festival Passport before heading to Shimmering Sips for the food stroll’s rewarding conclusion.

Our Top Tips for the 2023 Disney Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT

Disney’s Epcot Food & Wine Festival is a downright magical time of year for food lovers of all sorts. However, if you go in unprepared, you can come away with a severe case of FOMO and a wallet that’s a whole lot lighter than you intended. Save yourself from Epcot food festival heartbreak with these helpful tips:

Decide what you’d like to eat and drink (and how much you’d like to spend) ahead of time

While the sampler-sized portions and wallet-friendly prices may seem like a drop in the bucket when you’re ordering, they sure do add up quickly if you aren’t careful. Plus, add in the temptation of festival-exclusive souvenirs and you’ve got a recipe for budget disaster. Save yourself some heartache (and a stomachache too) by figuring out how many items you can afford and which you’d like to try before you get there. To make sticking to a festival budget extra easy, load money onto a wearable gift card.

Share to spend less and try more

You know those people who ask if you’d like a bite of whatever it is they’re eating? Guilty as charged. And we aren’t just being friendly – that’s us fishing for a taste of what’s on your plate too. We love sharing food. Not only does it let you sample more items without having to stuff yourself silly, but it also allows you to split the cost. Keep in mind, however, that as we’re still in the midst of a pandemic, you should practice safe eating practices when sharing festival offerings by using separate utensils and dividing things into portions.

Take a break with a bite and some live music

You may not need your passport for this culinary adventure around the world, but you will certainly be getting your steps in. Tasting your way around the world (showcase) is no easy task, with food booths sprinkled across Epcot. So, take some time off your feet by drinking in one of the live musical performances as you nibble on something tasty (and be sure to down some water while you’re at it too). While Boyz II Men won’t be making it to the American Gardens Theatre stage to serenade you this year, local bands from throughout Central Florida will be playing, as will Epcot favorites like Mariachi Cobre, Voices of Liberty, and the JAMMitors.

Try new things

The Epcot Food & Wine Festival is all about global flavors, cooking styles, ingredients, and culinary traditions. So, rather than sticking to the same kinds of dishes you’re used to, take advantage of the smaller portions, friendlier price tag, and melting pot of options to try something that you haven’t before. You may just come away with a new favorite cuisine.

Carry your bounty with a festival tray

Balancing a plate of food (or two) and a full beverage can be a challenge, especially when you’re fighting the festival crowds. To make sure your haul doesn’t take a tumble, consider investing in one of Disney’s festival-exclusive trays. Not only do these convenient carriers make excellent souvenirs, they also help corral your items until you can safely make it to a table.

Stick to the weekends if you can

Because of all the delicious food, Epcot is one of locals’ favorite Disney World theme parks, and that is especially true during festival season. As a result, the park becomes incredibly busy over the weekends. For fewer crowds, try to plan your trip for during the week.

Pace yourself

With so many tasty things on offer, it’s easy for your eyes to be bigger than your stomach. Rather than powering through from booth to booth, feel free to take a few circuits, nibbling on different things as you go. This will help you decide what you really want and keep you from getting too full. Take breaks throughout by going on rides, walking through pavilions, or sitting down for a show.

Well foodies, that wraps up our guide to all the yummy things on offer at this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to try all the new food booths, dishes, and drinks that are on offer this year, or to devour some old favorites.

Don’t just eat your way through Epcot! Take a break from deliciousness (and avoid a food coma) to go on some of the best Epcot rides with our 1-Day Epcot Plan. Or, make even more room in your food budget with our discounted Walt Disney World tickets.
