Purchasing Disney World Tickets:
All tickets are FastPass+ enabled and may be linked to your My Disney Experience and any MagicBands. We offer free shipping on tickets, or you may choose to pick-up tickets at any Walt Disney World Resort box office. If you choose to have tickets mailed or if you’re using MagicBands you may skip the box office and head straight into the parks! Walt Disney World Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable and must be used by the same person each day.
Adults are ages 10+ and Children are ages 3-9.
Infants 2 and under are free.
Walt Disney World Tickets include Base, Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus options. Base tickets allow you entry into 1 park each day of your visit. You cannot visit more than one park per day. Park Hopper tickets allow you to access all 4 parks on the same day for the length of your ticket. Park Hopper Plus tickets allow you access to all 4 parks on the same day plus several fun visits to the 2 water parks, Golden Oaks Golf Course, mini-golf and more!
The Walt Disney World Resort opened in 1971 and is now home to 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and over 14 resort hotels. It’s also home to one of the biggest shopping districts in the world, Disney Springs. To explore all of Walt Disney World a guest would need an entire year or more just to see everything! Not to worry though, you can split that up into many wonderful and magical vacations.
Disney World Theme Parks
There are 4 theme parks at Walt Disney World, each with a unique theme and offerings for attractions and entertainment. Here’s a quick history on each park and how to purchase Disney World tickets.
This was the first park to open at Walt Disney World in 1971. Originally the park was going to be themed and named at its sister park in Anaheim, Disneyland. However, after Walt’s passing the family moved to have it named after Walt. It was only fitting as Walt Disney World was his most prized project to date.
Magic Kingdom sees over 20 million visitors per year making it the busiest theme park in the world. It’s divided into 6 themed lands including Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Main Street U.S.A. and Liberty Square. Guests can experience some of the most iconic and classic attractions here including Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, The Jungle Cruise, Tea Cups, Peter Pan, “it’s a small world”, Dumbo and many more. EPCOT was the 2nd theme park to open at Disney World in 1982. Originally Walt wanted this to be an advanced and tech savvy community where people would actually live and work. EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow. After Walt’s death this idea was thrown out and a theme park based around technology and the world was built. EPCOT is known by it massive geodesic sphere at its entrance which also serves as an attraction. EPCOT is known for hosting some of the best festivals in the world each year including the International Food and Wine Festival and the International Flower and Garden Festival.
Hollywood Studios was the third theme park to open at Walt Disney World in 1989. It was originally called Disney-MGM Studios but the name was later changed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios is themed around..Hollywood! It features many attractions based on films including Star Tours, Hollywood Tower of Terror and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. In recent years the park has struggled to find its image and it currently in a major transition with new editions including Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad. Animal Kingdom was the 4th park to be built at Disney World and opened in 1998. The park is themed around animals and their conservation. Guests can have fun learning about animals while experiencing some of the best attractions Disney World has to offer. In 2017 Pandora – The World of Avatar opened at Animal Kingdom featuring two new attractions and several new dining options. It’s main attraction, Flight of Passage has become one of the most must-do attractions in Disney’s history due to its unique concept and thrill. Animal Kingdom also features Kilimanjaro Safaris which takes guests on a real-life safari to see animals including Elephants, Lions, Rhino, Hippos, Giraffe and more.
