Disneyland To Launch Park Pass Reservation System April 12th

Today it was announced that the Disneyland Resort will launch its new Park Pass Reservation system April 12th, 2021. While the resort doesn’t officially reopen until April 30th, the new Park Pass system is the only way for guests to gain entry into the parks. Availability will begin April 12th for April 30th and beyond and continue to roll-out over the next coming weeks. Here are the details and timeline from Disney:

Starting April 12, 2021, the theme park reservation system will open, and existing ticket holders will be able to check availability and make their park reservations, subject to their ticket type. To accommodate as many types of ticket holders as possible, reservations for select dates may be made available on a rolling basis. Check for updated availability.

After launching this new system, Disney will then open up new ticket sales:

Starting April 15, 2021, theme park ticket sales will resume, and Guests will be able to purchase new tickets and make park reservations. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks and party size is limited to 3 households, in alignment with current state guidelines. Proof of residency may be required.

As mentioned, the reopening will be for California Residents only. Disney has not announced a timeline or confirmed when  out of state guests may return to the parks.

Guests may also start booking rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa starting April 15th, 2021. Rooms will be limited. Disney Vacation Club Villas will reopen May 2nd, 2021 for member stays.
