Disney’s “newest” hotel will soon again be Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! Originally added to the resort in 2001, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations on all its rooms and pool. Even with its renovations the hotel received its 16th AAA four diamond award this year.
The room renovations bring fresh and arts and crafts together like never before. From the ceiling to the floor and everything in between, the rooms take an a much needed transformation. All will feature a new hardwood flooring at the entrance that transitions into bright-toned carpet (it’s really soft!)
The bathrooms and vanities are receiving an update as well as the beds and walls. The latter will feature California-inspired art work and wall headboards inlayed with some of your favorite Disney characters. Be on the lookout for some hidden Mickeys too!
Be very excited about the update and be sure to book your rooms early for Summer 2017 vacations. Also, be sure to read Disney’s website about the renovations. They may have closures during your visit that you’ll want to be aware of.
