Current Ride Closures at Disneyland Park
it’s a small world – A World of Refurbishment
Our beloved global boat tour, “it’s a small world”, is currently closed for its annual refurbishment. This year, the closure is a bit longer than usual, as Disney is incorporating some general maintenance and ride system updates. While we’ll miss those catchy tunes for now, the attraction is set to reopen later in Spring 2025, promising an even more enchanting experience for guests.
Indiana Jones Adventure – Temple of Temporary Closure
Hold onto your fedoras, adventure seekers! The Indiana Jones Adventure is taking a brief break starting March 17, 2025. This closure is relatively last-minute, but it’s for a good cause. Disney is working on fixing some of the attraction’s moving parts, particularly in the climactic scene. The ride is scheduled to reopen on April 25, 2025, just in time for those summer vacation plans.
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln – A Presidential Pause
The Main Street Opera House is undergoing a significant transformation. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is currently closed as Disney prepares to introduce a brand new show called Walt Disney – A Magical Life. This $5 million refurbishment includes replacing show elements, lighting, audio systems, and even installing a new turntable. Mark your calendars for July 17, 2025, when this reimagined attraction is set to debut.
The Disney Gallery
Attention Disney art enthusiasts! If you’re planning a visit to Disneyland Park, you might want to note that The Disney Gallery is currently closed for refurbishment. This beloved spot, known for showcasing the artistry and creativity behind Disney’s most iconic attractions and films, is taking a brief hiatus to prepare for something even more magical!
Disney’s California Adventure
Soarin’ Around the World
Soarin’ Around the World is temporarily grounded, and Soarin’ Over California is taking off! While this closure might be a bit of a bummer for fans of this simulator ride, it’s all part of keeping the experience fresh and exciting. Personally, Soarin’ Over California is my favorite of the two, so it’s nice to have something new to experience!
Looking Ahead
While these closures might seem disappointing, remember that they’re all part of Disney’s commitment to maintaining the magic and ensuring top-notch experiences for guests. Plus, there’s still plenty to explore in the park, from thrilling rides to captivating shows and parades.
As we look forward to the reopening of these attractions, excitement is building for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, kicking off on May 16, 2025. This milestone event promises to bring even more enchantment to the Happiest Place on Earth!
So, whether you’re planning a spring getaway or a summer adventure, keep these refurbishment dates in mind. And remember, a little pixie dust of patience goes a long way in making your Disneyland trip truly magical!
