I’ve been covering Disney’s festival concerts for years now, and I’ll tell you, this year’s Garden Rocks Concert Series is bringing some serious firepower! They’re bringing in some amazing talent, I promise, there’s something here that’ll transport you straight back to your favorite decade. From the songs of ABBA to the rock of Blue October, you’ll be drawn in to these incredible artists and have some of the most fun you’ve ever had in EPCOT! I’m going to lay out everything from the start of the concert to tips and seating hacks that’ll make your experience so much better!
What Is Garden Rocks Concert Series?
Garden Rocks is EPCOT’s free live music series that runs throughout the International Flower & Garden Festival. The concerts take place at America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion, where legendary artists perform three shows nightly: 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:00 PM—Friday through Monday during the festival. I love that they have three shows rather than just one like a lot of other experiences are at the Parks. It makes it so much easier to see the performances rather than fighting for seats for a one-time show!
Here’s what makes Garden Rocks special in my mind, it’s completely free with your EPCOT admission! No extra tickets, no hidden fees, just walk up and enjoy the show! The festival runs from March 4 through June 1, 2026, which means you’ve got nearly three full months to catch your favorite acts. This is something Disney does really well with their festivals, they make them longer than a day or a week which makes it hard to visit during that specific time. Three months gives you a nice big window to go and experience these performances!
One thing I love about Garden Rocks that you won’t experience at a regular concert, the international crowd! You’re at EPCOT, so you’ll be singing ’80s and ’90s hits alongside visitors from Brazil, Japan, Australia, and the UK. There’s something magical about hearing ABBA with that kind of global energy! It just goes to show that music breaks through all language barriers!
How Garden Rocks Works
The America Gardens Theatre holds roughly 1,800 guests, and seating operates on a first-come, first-served basis, unless you book a dining package (more on that later!). The venue features open bleacher-style seating with a covered stage area, creating an intimate outdoor concert experience right on the shores of World Showcase Lagoon. It’s a beautiful sight!
Each band typically performs 30-minute sets, playing their biggest hits and fan favorites! You’ll catch everything from power ballads to dance anthems, most are performed live by the original artists or featuring original band members, but some are cover bands or groups, like the ABBA music this year. It may not be the original members but you’ll still get those chills from listening to their incredible songs!
Complete 2026 Garden Rocks Lineup
This year’s roster spans five decades of music, from disco legends to American Idol winners! I’ve compiled a list of who’s performing and when to hopefully make your decision of when to attend a bit easier! You’ll want to mark these dates down so you don’t miss your favorite artists!
March 2026 Performances
March 5-7: The Music of ABBA (NEW)
Kicking off the festival with Swedish pop perfection! While this isn’t the original ABBA members (they rarely tour), this tribute act brings the magic of “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” and “Waterloo” to life. ABBA tributes have become incredibly popular worldwide, and these performances capture the infectious energy and timeless melodies that made ABBA one of the best-selling music groups of all time!
March 8-9: Simple Plan
Get ready for some serious nostalgia! Simple Plan dominated the early 2000s pop-punk scene with massive hits like “I’m Just a Kid,” “Welcome to My Life,” and “Perfect.” The Canadian band is celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2026, and they’re bringing all the angsty energy that made them Vans Warped Tour favorites.
March 13-14: Blue October
Blue October brings emotional intensity with their alternative rock sound. Best known for the platinum-certified “Hate Me” and “Into the Ocean,” both songs reached massive chart success in 2006. Lead singer Justin Furstenfeld’s raw vocal performances tackle themes of depression, addiction, and redemption with stunning honesty.
March 15-16: Billy Ocean
Caribbean vibes meet ’80s R&B! Billy Ocean scored a Grammy Award for “Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run),” which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984. You’ll also hear classics like “When the Going Gets Tough” and “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car.”
March 20-23: THE ORCHESTRA starring former members of ELO & ELO Part II
This four-night run features former members of Electric Light Orchestra performing epic symphonic rock. Expect to hear “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Don’t Bring Me Down,” and “Livin’ Thing”—songs that defined the orchestral rock sound of the ’70s and ’80s.
March 27-28: Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone
British Invasion magic! Peter Noone fronted Herman’s Hermits during the height of Beatlemania, scoring massive hits like “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” and “I’m Into Something Good.” These performances bring the cheerful, guitar-driven pop that ranked them as America’s top singles act in 1965.
March 29-30: 38 Special
Southern rock meets arena anthems! 38 Special dominated album rock radio with “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You,” and “Second Chance.” Both “Hold On Loosely” and “Caught Up In You” hit #1 on Billboard’s Album Rock chart, becoming eternal classic rock staples.
April 2026 Shows
April 3-4: Chubby Checker
Dance party time! Chubby Checker made history with “The Twist,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 twice—in 1960 and again in 1962, a feat no other song accomplished for nearly 59 years. His performances are interactive, high-energy celebrations of early rock and roll dance crazes.
April 5-6: Sugar Ray
’90s radio gold! Sugar Ray transformed from heavy nu-metal to sunshine pop-rock, scoring massive crossover hits. “Every Morning” reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 39 weeks on the dance chart, while “Fly” became an inescapable summer anthem in 1997.
April 10-11: Information Society (NEW)
Synth-pop with a Star Trek twist! Information Society’s “What’s on Your Mind (Pure Energy)” spent 25 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #3 in 1988. The song famously samples Leonard Nimoy’s voice from Star Trek saying “pure energy,” making it instantly recognizable to both music fans and sci-fi nerds.
April 12-13: Rick Springfield
’80s heartthrob alert! Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” won a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance and hit #1 on the Hot 100 in 1981. His dual career as both an actor on General Hospital and a chart-topping musician made him one of the decade’s most recognizable stars.
April 17-18: Berlin
Top Gun anthem incoming! Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. The song hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became forever linked to that iconic Top Gun love scene.
April 19-20: The Commodores
Motown soul and funk perfection! The Commodores brought us “Easy,” “Brick House,” and “Three Times a Lady.” Lionel Richie wrote “Easy” as a slow, reflective breakup ballad that hit #1 on the Hot Soul Singles chart, while “Brick House” (sung by drummer Walter Orange) became an eternal funk classic.
April 24-25: FireHouse (NEW)
Hair metal power ballads! FireHouse scored big with “When I Look Into Your Eyes,” which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1992. Their glam metal sound and heartfelt lyrics captured the tail end of the ’80s rock explosion.
April 26-27: Air Supply
Soft rock royalty! Air Supply’s “All Out of Love” reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and featured a record-breaking 16.2-second held note by vocalist Russell Hitchcock. Their romantic ballads defined adult contemporary radio throughout the early ’80s.
May 2026 Concerts
May 1-2: A Flock of Seagulls
New wave with that iconic haircut! “I Ran (So Far Away)” peaked at #9 on the Hot 100 and became an MTV staple. Lead singer Mike Score’s distinctive seagull-wing hairstyle became as famous as the synthesizer-driven hit itself.
May 3-4: Plain White T’s
The “Hey There Delilah” guys! This acoustic love song hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007 and earned two Grammy nominations. Written about steeplechase runner Delilah DiCrescenzo, the song’s simple guitar melody and heartfelt lyrics made it one of the decade’s biggest hits.
May 8-9: Katrina, formerly of Katrina & The Waves (NEW)
“Walking on Sunshine” personified! Katrina brings the infectious optimism that made Katrina & The Waves’ signature song an eternal feel-good anthem. Expect pure joy and sing-along moments.
May 10-11: 98 Degrees
Boy band nostalgia! 98 Degrees gave us “Because of You” (#3), “The Hardest Thing” (#5), “I Do (Cherish You)” (#13), and “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)” (#2). The group also reached #1 backing Mariah Carey on “Thank God I Found You,” which earned a Grammy nomination.
May 15-16: The Spinners
Soul and R&B legends! The Spinners (also known as The Detroit Spinners) delivered smooth Philadelphia soul with hits spanning three decades. Their sophisticated harmonies defined the Sound of Philadelphia.
May 17-18: Josiah Queen (NEW)
Contemporary Christian breakout! Josiah Queen’s debut album “The Prodigal” hit #1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart in 2024. The title track earned a GMA Dove Award nomination and went gold. At just 23 years old, Queen represents the festival’s contemporary edge.
May 22-23: Iam Tongi (NEW)
American Idol champion! Iam Tongi won Season 21 of American Idol in 2023, becoming the first winner from Hawaii and the first Pacific Islander to take the crown. His viral audition of James Blunt’s “Monsters” (dedicated to his late father) drew over 16 million YouTube views and earned him 112,000 Instagram followers in just two days.
May 24-25: A.J. Croce: Croce Plays Croce
Legacy and tribute! A.J. Croce honors his father Jim Croce’s catalog, performing classics like “Time in a Bottle,” “Operator,” and “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.” This emotional tribute brings legendary folk-rock songs to a new generation.
May 29-30: Queensrÿche
Progressive metal mastery! Queensrÿche’s power ballad “Silent Lucidity” peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit #1 on the Album Rock Tracks chart. The song earned two Grammy nominations and showcased the band’s ability to blend metal intensity with orchestral arrangements.
May 31-June 1: Maverick City Music
Contemporary worship closing out the festival! Maverick City Music has won four Grammy Awards and revolutionized Christian worship music by emphasizing diversity and inclusivity. Their songs “Jireh” and “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” have become modern worship standards.
Garden Rocks Dining Packages
Here’s a little secret, you can get guaranteed seats without camping out hours early! The Garden Rocks Dining Packages are your answer for this! Here’s how they work and whether they’re worth it. Personally, I think they are worth it if you’re wanting to see a certain artist and you don’t want to risk waiting hours before the show to get a good seat.
How the Dining Packages Work
Book a meal at a participating EPCOT restaurant (see the list below), and you’ll receive concert badges after your meal! These badges grant you guaranteed seating through a separate priority entrance at America Gardens Theatre. You’re still seated first-come, first-served within the dining package section, but you won’t be turned away if the theater reaches capacity. So if you want the best seat possible you’ll still want to arrive early, but if you can’t make it early you don’t have to worry about not getting a seat. It’s one of the best things about the dining packages, it can make the process stress free!
Participating Restaurants and Prices
Dining packages are offered at 13 participating restaurants, with prices ranging from $56-$99 for adults and $21-$45 for children (ages 3-9). These prices exclude tax and gratuity, so keep that in mind! Expect Disney level food at most of these, some will outshine others, but for the most part you’re going to have an enjoyable meal.
Best Value Options:
-
Regal Eagle Smokehouse ($36 adult/$21 child) – Same-day packages available, walk-up only, great for spontaneous plans
-
Spice Road Table ($56 adult/$21 child) – Unique small plates format with Moroccan flavors
-
Nine Dragons Restaurant ($60 adult/$23 child) – Chinese cuisine with solid portions
Mid-Range Choices:
-
Biergarten Restaurant ($66 adult/$35 child) – German buffet with lively atmosphere
-
Garden Grill Restaurant Breakfast ($66 adult/$40 child) – Character dining with Mickey and friends
-
Rose & Crown Dining Room ($61 adult/$26 child) – British pub fare with great beer selection
Premium Experiences:
-
Le Cellier Steakhouse ($99 adult/$39 child) – Requires 2 Disney Dining Plan credits, upscale Canadian steakhouse
-
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya ($89 adult/$45 child) – Modern Japanese with creative presentations
-
Teppan Edo ($89 adult/$45 child) – Hibachi-style entertainment while you eat
Are Dining Packages Worth It?
I’ve done it both ways, and here’s my honest take, Dining packages make sense if you’re seeing a popular act on a Friday or Saturday night, you want to eat at one of those restaurants anyway, or you’re traveling with kids or elderly family members who can’t stand in line for 45+ minutes.
They’re not really worth it if you’re catching a weeknight show, seeing a less popular artist, or you’re flexible about your seating location. The back rows still offer great sightlines and sound quality (better than the sides)! Because of the price I’ve only ever done one dining package during a visit. Though I’ve heard of people booking multiple dining packages during a visit so they don’t miss out on more than one show. The fact that the shows are completely free does make it a little easier to spend some money on dining!
Tips for Getting the Best Seats (Without a Dining Package)
After attending dozens of Garden Rocks concerts, I’ve figured out a system to enjoy the shows without waiting too long and getting the best seats for sound quality! Here’s how I maximize my experience without dropping $80+ on a dining package!
Timing is Everything
Weekend shows (Friday-Saturday): Arrive 45-60 minutes early for popular acts like Simple Plan, 98 Degrees, or Rick Springfield. Lines start forming about an hour before showtime for the most anticipated performers.
Sunday-Monday shows: You can get away with arriving 30-45 minutes early. Crowds thin out slightly as the weekend wraps up.
Best show time: The 6:45 PM performance strikes the perfect balance. The 5:30 PM show often has smaller crowds (people are still eating dinner), while the 8:00 PM show gets packed with people who’ve been grazing at Outdoor Kitchens all evening.
The vibe completely shifts between the three nightly shows! The 5:30 PM crowd is mostly families with young kids who need to leave early. The 6:45 PM show is where you’ll find the die-hard fans who know every word. By 8:00 PM, the audience has had a few drinks from the festival booths, and things start kicking off! I’ve seen the most crowd participation at that final show and oh is it glorious! Participation really makes the shows so much more fun to attend!
Strategic Positioning
The theater empties completely between performances, so everyone lines up again. Use this to your advantage! If you catch the 5:30 PM show from the back, you can immediately get in line for the 6:45 PM show and score better seats!
Here’s something nobody will tell you (but I will), the acoustics at America Gardens Theatre are actually better in the back rows than the sides! The sound system is designed to project sound straight out, so sitting dead center, even if you’re 20 rows back gives you clearer audio than cramming up front on the far edges! I learned this the hard way after my first show when I couldn’t hear the vocals over the pounding bass. So it’s better to be in the very back farther away then on the sides up close to the speakers!
What You Can Bring Inside
Yes, you can bring food and drinks into the theater! Mobile order from Regal Eagle Smokehouse (right next door to the American Adventure) and grab your meal before getting in line. You’ll have dinner and entertainment without losing your spot! The food is easy enough to walk around with and there’s garbage cans all over to throw your trash away when you’re done. I always have a water bottle with me because the heat makes me sweat like crazy, so you might consider bringing at least one with you. I’m sure if you have kids you’ll have a few refillable bottles with you already!
Bring a poncho if the weather says it might rain, that way you don’t have run somewhere to get one if it starts up. I always put sunscreen on before leaving the hotel, but the concerts aren’t usually during high sun exposure so you probably don’t need to carry it in. If you don’t want to eat a big meal then bring in some snacks for you to chomp on before, after, or in-between the shows. Trust me, you’ll need the energy!
Best Days to Visit EPCOT for Garden Rocks
Not all festival days are the same. The April shows are secretly the best time to attend. March can be surprisingly chilly after sunset, and May brings afternoon thunderstorms that cause delays. April hits that sweet spot, comfortable temperatures, blooming flowers actually in peak season, and the novelty hasn’t worn off yet so performers really bring that extra energy!
Best Days: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday – Lower wait times for attractions, easier access to Outdoor Kitchens, and reasonable concert crowds.
Good Days: Tuesday, Friday mornings – Friday gets crowded after 4 PM when weekend festival crowds arrive, so plan accordingly.
Avoid if possible: Saturday – Peak festival crowds, longest waits for everything, hardest day to get concert seats without dining packages.
Weekend crowds are brutal, but Sunday evenings are the secret sweet spot! Most weekend visitors are starting to head home, but the shows are still running. I’ve gotten front-row seats on Sunday nights for acts that were standing-room-only on Friday!
Experiences Beyond the Music
Garden Rocks is just one piece of the International Flower & Garden Festival. There’s a lot of other fun activities and experiences that you can attend! Here’s a list of some of my favorites. I’ll briefly go over them, but for sure check out my other articles and guides that go into more detail on these!
Outdoor Kitchens
Over 20 food booths scattered throughout World Showcase serve garden-inspired small plates and specialty drinks. The festival essentially becomes a mini Food & Wine Festival, letting you snack your way around the world. You don’t want to pass up on these delicious foods, they’re some of the best things I’ve had the pleasure of tasting in EPCOT! Leave some time in-between each booth so you don’t get too full or tipsy!
Don’t Miss These Booths:
-
BRUNCHCOT (formerly Sunshine Griddle) – Best breakfast items, located near World Celebration
-
Farmers Feast – Seasonal dishes that change throughout the festival, incredible quality
-
Honey Bee-stro – Bee-themed treats with honey-infused everything
These three consistently rank as the best Outdoor Kitchens, and they’re conveniently located near each other at the front of the park! I always make sure to hit up all three every time I go and I’m never disappointed!
Topiaries and Gardens
More than 60 Disney character topiaries bloom throughout EPCOT, from Mickey and Minnie to modern favorites. Over 31 different garden displays showcase sustainable practices, exotic plants, and innovative growing techniques. These really are some of the coolest topiaries you’ll ever see! The Cast Members that work on them are so talented at what they do! Plus, they make really great pictures for your phone or computer background!
Interactive Activities
I won’t spend too much time talking about these, but they’re worth checking out, especially if you have little ones! Keep in mind that they all require some walking (not that you’re not already doing enough in the Parks)!
Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration – Follow Spike the Bee on a scavenger hunt through the gardens!
Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt – Find character-themed eggs hidden throughout World Showcase!
Butterfly Landing – Walk through an enchanting butterfly garden filled with dozens of species!
Garden Rock Concerts Tips
Over my years of attending the concerts at EPCOT I’ve gathered a number of great tips and useful strategies, I’m going to share them with you in hopes it’ll make your experience a special one!
Cast members start lining up stanchions about 90 minutes before showtime, which is your first clue about expected crowd size. If they’re setting up extended queue lines early, that’s when you know it’s going to be packed! I always chat with the Cast Members before the shows, they’ll tell you which ones have been selling out and which ones have been surprisingly empty. If you’re lucky they’ll hook you up with a great seat! Be kind and thankful for any information they give you, most of them enjoy helping people out and making their night better!
The theater completely empties between shows, but here’s the trick, stick around near the exit area and wait for everyone to leave. When they announce the theater is open for the next performance, the folks who just watched from the back will rush to get back in line. But if you’re already positioned near the entrance from inside, you can be first in the new queue! It does mean waiting around for a little bit but it’s totally worth it if you’re not using a dining package or there’s a particular artist you’re wanting to see!
The American Adventure pavilion has amazing air-conditioned bathrooms right behind the theater! Hit them up before you get in line, not after you’re seated. You’ll lose your spot if you leave once you’re in the theater, and Florida heat makes those 45-minute waits brutal! Also, don’t start drinking a bunch of liquids before the show, you definitely don’t want to have to leave to go to the bathroom and lose your seat or place in line!
If you’re doing a dining package don’t eat a huge meal at the restaurant, you risk feeling too stuffed to enjoy the show! Not only have I watched lots of people nod off during performances because they crushed a giant steak at Le Cellier an hour before, but I’ve experienced stomach bloating during the show. It really took my mind off the stage and made it hard to move around to the music. So, if you’re doing a dining package, maybe opt for a lighter fare at Spice Road Table or Rose & Crown, or share a meal with someone else!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Garden Rocks free?
Yes! All Garden Rocks concerts are included with your EPCOT admission. You don’t need separate tickets or reservations unless you choose to book a dining package for that sweet guaranteed seating.
How long are the concerts?
Each performance runs approximately 30 minutes, with three shows nightly at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:00 PM.
Do I need a park reservation for EPCOT?
Theme park reservations may be required depending on your ticket type and current Disney policies. Check the Disney World website when planning your visit.
Can I take photos and videos?
Yes! Unlike some concert venues that restrict photography, you’re welcome to take photos and videos during Garden Rocks performances for personal use. Just be considerate of other guests and avoid blocking sightlines with tablets or signs.
Is the theater wheelchair accessible?
Yes, America Gardens Theatre offers wheelchair-accessible seating. You’ll want to inform cast members at the entrance about your accessibility needs, and they’ll direct you to appropriate seating areas.
What happens if it rains?
The stage area is covered, but most of the seating is open to the elements. Light rain usually doesn’t cancel performances, but severe weather may cause delays or cancellations. Check with cast members at the theater for real-time updates.
Can I see multiple performances in one night?
Absolutely! The theater clears between shows, so you can line up again for the next performance. Many guests catch all three shows if they’re passionate fans of a particular artist.
Are there age restrictions?
No age restrictions exist for Garden Rocks concerts. The family-friendly performances welcome guests of all ages, though the music naturally appeals more to adults who remember these hits from their younger years.
When do dining packages go on sale?
Dining packages typically become available 60 days in advance (the standard Disney dining reservation window). Popular dates and restaurants book quickly, so set a reminder and book at 6:00 AM Eastern on your 60-day mark.
Do bands play different sets each night?
While setlists can vary slightly, most artists stick to their biggest hits across all performances. They might switch up a deep cut or two, but you’ll hear the songs you came for at any show.
What if my favorite band isn’t performing when I visit?
Check the full schedule when planning your trip! Since performances only happen Friday-Monday, specific dates matter. Build your EPCOT day around a band you’re excited to see, or discover something new, you might find your next favorite artist.
Planning Your Perfect Garden Rocks Day
Here’s another recommendation of mine for maximizing your experience at the Garden Rocks Concerts. This is a full-day layout though, so you’ll want to take notes!
10:00 AM – Arrive at EPCOT for Early Theme Park Entry (if staying at a Disney Resort). Knock out Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Test Track with minimal waits.
12:00 PM – Grab lunch at one of the Garden Rocks dining package restaurants if you’ve booked one, or enjoy the regular menu elsewhere.
1:00-4:00 PM – Explore the festival! Visit topiaries, sample Outdoor Kitchens, complete scavenger hunts. Pace yourself on the drinking if you want to remember the concert!
4:30 PM – Position yourself near America Gardens Theatre. This gives you time to scope out the line situation.
5:00 PM – Get in line if you don’t have a dining package and you’re seeing a popular artist cause the queue fills up fast!
5:30 PM – First concert performance! Even if you’re planning to attend a later show, watching the 5:30 PM set helps you gauge crowd levels.
6:45 PM – Best show time! Ideal lighting, manageable crowds, and perfect energy, the trifecta!
After the concert – Stick around World Showcase for dinner at a table-service restaurant, or continue grazing at Outdoor Kitchens. The festival atmosphere stays vibrant all the way until the park closes!
