California Adventure Tickets 2019
California Adventure tickets are easy to come by these days. When the park initially opened in 2001 is was a bomb in the eyes of Disney and it’s theme park goers. In fact, at one point it only saw 20% of the traffic that went to Disneyland! After several years of failure the theme park was redone and made more “Disney.” After this and the addition of Cars Land and the new Carthay Circle Restaurant the theme park started seeing 50/50 traffic, a huge difference!
BUYING CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE TICKETS
Tickets to California Adventure can be purchased in 2 ways: Park Hopper or 1 Park Per Day. If you want to purchase a Park Hopper ticket you’ll be able to go to California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park. If you purchase the 1 park per day ticket you’ll only be able to go to either California Adventure Park or Disneyland Park but not both. We suggest purchasing from our trusted partner Get Away Today for your California Adventure Tickets.
Currently we offer tickets from 2 to 5 days for both Park Hopper and 1 Park per day tickets. There are advantages to both ticket types but if you’re looking specifically for California Adventure tickets the 1 Park per day tickets may be your best option. There are significant savings by choosing 1 Park per day vs. a Park Hopper ticket. The only downside to this ticket type is that it doesn’t offer much flexibility.
Every valid ticket comes with Fastpass service which allows you to skip the main lines for the big attractions and get into a much shorter line. This free service is key to getting as much done as possible at the parks. Guests can also utilise MaxPass which allows them to make Fastpass reservations from their phone no matter where they are! This saves you even more time because you don’t have to walk to an attraction and get your Fastpass anymore.
Park Savers specialises in selling discount theme park tickets for Disneyland and California Adventure Park. In fact we’re so confident in our prices that we offer a Best Price Guarantee on every ticket we sell. Nobody will beat our prices and every ticket we sell will save you money over gate pricing. That’s our promise to you.
ABOUT CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK
As we mentioned above this park opened in 2001 as an expansion of Disneyland. This 72 acre expansion was known at WestCOT being named somewhat after the Epcot expansion that happened at Walt Disney World Resort. However, WestCOT was scrapped and executives decided to design a park that was based around California and the adventures and fun guests can experience around the state.
Opening day attractions included:
- Superstar Limo
- The Sun Wheel
- Orange Stinger Swings
- Bountiful Valley Farm
- Mulholland Madness
- Soarin’ Over California
- California Screamin’
- Golden Zephyr
- King Triton’s Carousel
- Jumpin’ Jellyfish
- Muppet-Vision 3-D
This concept however proved to be a failure as projected attendance numbers were never met. The biggest complaints from guests were the lack of attractions compared to shops and the fact that the park was aimed towards adults and not children. From 2001 to 2008 the park continually replaced and added new attractions in an attempt to increase numbers.
Finally in 2008 a massive expansion began which made the park more “Disney” and saw the addition of Cars Land and a new Buena Vista Street. This expansion, which was completed in 2012 proved to be what the park needed and now see’s almost 50/50 attendance with Disneyland Park.
Current Attractions include:
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Goofy’s Sky School
- Pixar Pal-a-Round
- Monsters Inc.
- Golden Zephyr
- Toy Story Midway Mania
- Radiator Springs Racers
- Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree
- Guardians of the Galaxy
However there have been several new additions and re-do’s to the park that have drawn in crowds and will continue to do so for years to come. In 2017 Tower of Terror was redone into Guardians of the Galaxy. In 2018 Paradise Pier was redone into Pixar Pier and all the attractions re-themed. California Screamin’ was changed into the Incredicoaster. Toy Story Mania stayed the same. The ferris wheel was changed into Pixar Pal-Around and the carousel will be Jessie’s Critter Round-up. In 2019 a new addition to the Pier will be added called Inside Out: Emotional Whirlwind.
What was once a bug’s land is now gone and in place of it will be a Marvel Land opening sometime in 2020. The land will include a new Spider-man attraction and include Guardians of the Galaxy and other yet to be announced attractions.
