Here’s the latest news from Disney:
- The 2023 Department of Defense Warrior Games will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort from September 22 to September 28, featuring wounded warriors competing in adaptive sports.Â
- Walt Disney World has announced “Disney100 Years of Wonder”, a celebration at Epcot to honor the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company in late 2023. Details are still limited but it will feature “special entertainment, new décor, and more”.Â
- Several Downtown Disney and Disney Springs locations like Enzo’s Hideaway, The Edison, and Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante will be getting menu updates on September 26. New Italian dishes and cocktails will be added.Â
- Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle will be transformed on select nights from October through December with a new holiday projection show, “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire”.Â
- New holiday decor will be added across Walt Disney World’s parks this season, including a new gingerbread display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.Â
- Annual passes and parking fees are increasing starting December 8, 2022. Increases range from $15 for select annual passes to $25 for standard parking.Â
- Previews begin October 1 for “Disney On Broadway Hits” at Epcot’s America Gardens Theatre, featuring live performances of songs from The Lion King, Aladdin, Newsies, and more Broadway shows.
