Downtown Disney Salt & Straw Ice Cream

Downtown Disney Opens At Disneyland Resort

To day marked another Disney opening after having been closed for several months. In June, the Walt Disney World Resort opened its shopping district, Disney Springs. Now, Disneyland Resort has opened its shopping and dining area, Downtown Disney.

The health and safety of guests, operating participant employees and Disney cast members are at the forefront of their planning. Several operational changes have been implemented based on guidance from health authorities to promote physical distancing and enhanced cleanliness throughout the Downtown Disney District.

Downtown Disney Reopens

To help guide guests through these new measures, cast members from their Guest Experience Team are walking throughout the Downtown Disney District to help explain their new health and safety measures and answer any questions. They, along with other Downtown Disney cast members, are on hand to encourage everyone to follow these measures for the health and safety of us all.

Word of Disney, the districts biggest store, is reopened and selling all the Disney merchandise you can handle. Along with this store, many other shops and boutiques have reopened including Disney Home, The Disney Dress Shop and the Wonderground Gallery.

Several restaurants and dining locations have also reopened including Black Tap, UVA Bar and Cafe, Naples Restaurant and Salt and Straw Ice Cream.

Guests are subject to security and health screenings before entering the district and masks are required to be worn. The district is running different hours so be sure to check their times online for when they are open.
