Today the Disneyland Resort sent out an email to current Legacy Passholders that they will be announcing the new Passholder program tomorrow at 1pm PST. In the email they revealed the new name of the program: Magic Key.
Disney ended their Passholder program in early 2021 and refunded all current members. Legacy passholders have had the opportunity to receive discounts in and out of the parks but they have not received admission. Instead, members have been purchasing tickets like all other guests since April of 2021 when the resort reopened.
There has been speculation about the new program including it becoming a reservation, first come first serve program like the Flex Passport was previously. This would require passholders to make park reservations in advance. They would also face black-out dates around the busier times like the Holidays, Thanksgiving and Spring Break.
It’s also speculated that Disney will not be bringing back any So. Cal Resident passports or a monthly payment program.
It’s expected that discounts will be available to Magic Key holders.
Be sure to follow Park Savers on Instagram and Twitter for the announcement tomorrow on the new Magic Key program.
