How Much Does It Cost?
Disney weddings start at around $15,000 for the basic package. This includes the venue fee and minimum spend on food/beverages.
The most affordable venues are weekdays at non-peak times. Weekends, holidays and popular venues like the Magic Kingdom are most expensive with fees from $40,000-$50,000.
Average cost is around $30,000 for a Disney wedding. Costs range from $15,000 on the low end up to $100,000 for lavish weddings.
Disney sets minimum spend requirements based on venue, date/time. Minimums cover the venue fee, food/beverages. Additional services like photography, floral, decor and entertainment can be added on.
Food/beverage minimums are $165 per person for brunch, $185 for lunch, and $210 for dinner.
Taxes (7.75%), gratuities & labor (23%) and other fees like number of guests will increase the final cost.
Cheapest option is a small wedding midweek at a less popular venue. But there are affordable options to fit most budgets.
Deposit and Payment
A deposit, which is determined by total spend outlined in the Agreement, will act as your commitment to host your wedding at the Disney Resort and enable them to begin planning your events and reserving hotel room accommodations.
The deposit will be applied toward your wedding and is nonrefundable once it is received.
Deposits are required to confirm your wedding event space and obtain special hotel rates.
Additionally, at a predetermined time prior to your wedding date, your full minimum expenditure is due (payable by money order or credit card).
Overall, Disney weddings average around $30,000 but can be done for $15,000 or lower with careful planning and guest limits. Peak times and popular venues raise costs, but Disney’s team helps couples maximize their budget.
While Disney weddings are a major production, there are ways to cut costs for a more affordable fairy tale event.
Guest list: Limit your guests to your nearest and dearest. Disney weddings often charge per person for food and beverage, so fewer guests means lower costs.
Bridal party: Skip the huge bridal party and attendants. Focus on you and your partner.
Weekday wedding: Hold your wedding on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for lower ceremony fees and minimums.
Morning wedding: Schedule your ceremony for the morning before parks open for lower pricing.
Venue: Avoid the most iconic (and expensive) spots like Cinderella Castle and find a more affordable location.
Food: Opt for brunch or lunch menus rather than a plated dinner, or choose food stations over a seated meal.
Extras: Skip expensive add-ons like fireworks viewing parties and focus your budget on priorities like flowers and photography.
