share disneyland tickets

We get this question all the time. Guests who are purchasing Disneyland tickets see that the more days you buy the less expensive per day the ticket gets. Naturally guests want to know if they can share Disneyland tickets. It would be a very cost-effective way to buy a ticket. One person uses 2 days and then another person uses the other 2 days of a 4 day ticket.

The answer to your question however is no. You cannot share Disneyland tickets with other people. All days on a ticket must be used by the same person for the entirety of the ticket. These are terms that every guest agrees to when they purchase a Disneyland pass. Keep reading to find out how you can still save BIG on your tickets.

Several years ago this ticket sharing or splitting was a very popular thing. You used to be able to find people or dealers online who who have tickets to share. Basically they would purchase the ticket and “rent” it out to guests for however many days they were going for. IIt would decrease the cost of the ticket purchase significantly for guests. Once you were done using the ticket you would simply return it to the dealer. Or if you were on the last leg of the ticket you could just keep it

This method of purchasing tickets however is against Disney’s terms of use for tickets. As Disney caught on they put several restrictions in place that prevented you from sharing Disneyland tickets.

  1. All guests must sign their names on the tickets, including children. Photo ID may be asked for when using the ticket to enter the parks. This method seemed to work okay but was not super solid.
  2. Disney moved over to a new system that allowed photos to be taken and assigned to each ticket upon first use. This system is currently in place and works very well. It essentially makes every ticket including 1 days like an annual pass. Every time it’s scanned for entry your photo pops up and the Cast Member can verify that it’s the same person using the ticket every time. The introduction of this new system eliminated guests from sharing Disneyland tickets.
