Support Your Local Restaurants & Bars

You’ve probably seen a few of these headlines already but this (hopefully) is a good reminder to continue to support your local restaurant businesses during this hard time. One of the hardest hit industries during COVID-19 has been restaurants, most especially local, one-off ones that many of us have come to love over the years.

Pretty much every state in the U.S. has asked restaurants and bars to close to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This has turned the restaurant world upside down as many of them try and become a take-out only service for the foreseeable future.

I know the Governor of Utah has asked residents who can, to support their local restaurants and bars by ordering take-out 3 times a week. I think this is a great idea and should be put to use where possible throughout the U.S.

There are several ways you can order from local restaurants. Many have asked for guests to order from their website or call them for take-out. There are also food services like DoorDash and Uber Eats that offer delivery. Several of these services are running promotions for free delivery from local restaurants which is awesome.

If you’ve never used these app services before, they are very simple to use and first time users can snag some free food by using the promo codes* below:

  • Uber Eats – eats-deang2368ue – $7 off your order!
  • DoorDash – https://drd.sh/CMcn6z/ – $15 off your first order!

Because customers aren’t allowed inside the actual restaurants I highly recommend using the delivery services. However, if this is not possible, most restaurants have posted a number to call upon your arrival so they know when to bring your order out to your car.

I think you’ll find that many places are very grateful for your business and support right now! It could very well be the difference of them staying open or not.

Thanks for your support!

*Any credits Park Savers receives for Promo Code use is being donated to local families in need  of meals.
