After meeting with Florida’s Coronavirus Task Force today, Universal Studios Executives have set an opening date for their Orlando-based theme parks: June 5th
The date is much sooner than guests were expecting, many of whom had speculated July 1st as the likely reopening date.
Universal submitted a reopening plan to the task force today and the plan was approved. It includes many guidelines to help protect guests and employees.
The parks will open in phases and in a limited capacity like Disney Springs and City Walk.
This is an ongoing story and will be updated as more details become available.
