Whoopi Goldberg Asks Disney To Build A Wakanda Land At Theme Parks, Honor Chadwick Boseman

After the sudden passing of actor Chadwick Boseman this past week, there have been many suggestions on how to honor the late actor who played king T’Challa in the Black Panther film and other Marvel movies.

The most recent suggestion came from star Whoopi Goldberg on Twitter who asked Disney to build a Wakanda Land in honor of Boseman. Her Tweet read,

“Dear People in charge of building NEW experiences Disney Land and World,” she wrote. “We don’t really need another Frozen land BUT what we could use is Wakonda, please Disneyworld Disneyland PLEASE build in Chadwick Boseman’s name WAKONDA.”

Currently Disney is building a Marvel-themed Land at Disney’s California Adventure Park called Avengers Campus. It will feature super hero’s from almost all of their Marvel films including Wakanda warriors but is not solely based on the Black Panther film.

Whoopi pointed out in her tweet that fans don’t need another Frozen Land or attraction. And we couldn’t agree more. We’ve always liked the idea of a land based on Wakanda because there is some much that could be done.

While Disney hasn’t officially responded, thousands of Twitter users loved the idea and commented on all the ways Disney could do it.

We will be interested to see how Disney reacts but think that there’s a really good chance something, whether it’s an attraction or land, will happen.
