Disneyland After Dark: Princess Nite Celebration Guide

Continuing with the Disneyland Resort’s After Dark series is the all new After Dark Princess Nite. Adding to the Star Wars and Sweethearts Nite, this new edition to the After Dark Series is sure to be a keeper!

After Dark events have proven to be some of Disney’s best date nights and celebrations to attend throughout the year. Here are all the details you need to know about the new Princess Nite:

Disneyland After Dark Princess Nite Cost

This after dark event is a first for Disneyland. With only 2 nights to choose, you better believe tickets will sell out quickly (and there is no pre-sale). Tickets open to the general public for purchase December 14th at 9 am.

Princess Nite will be held at Disneyland Park March 7th and 9th from 9 PM to 1 AM, with the option to come to the park 3 hours before the event starts. No theme park reservation is required with an event ticket. Tickets start at $129 per guest ages 3+ and there are only a limited number of tickets.

Dress as your favorite Princess or Heroines for this special nite!

Costumes are definitely encouraged for those in attendance to Princess Nite. You better believe it will be like all other costumed events with lots of people dressing up with costumes as elaborate as their imaginations can come up with, and those who will dress in their normal clothes.

Whichever way you decide, you won’t and can’t be wrong. Disneyland does have guidelines they ask their guests to follow when it comes to dressing up.

Dressing for Special Events

There are specific costume guidelines for special events. Before brewing up ideas for your next disguise, please take a moment to review our latest rules and regulations:

  • All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground (e.g., full-length Princess dresses)

For Guests Ages 13 and Under

Costumes and some masks may be worn, as long the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible.

For Guests Ages 14 and Older

  • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
  • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.
  • Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic Lightsabers, toy swords and tutus.
  • Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
  • Masks of any kind may not be worn, except for medical purposes.

Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, the event, unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards. While we encourage creativity, we also value safety and good judgment.

The above costume guidelines apply throughout the duration of Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party and/or other costumed events. Please note: all rules, regulations and guidelines are subject to change without notice.

What Attractions Will Be Open?

You can count on most attractions being open during the Princess Nite event. Attractions that will be closed includes Tarzan’s Treehouse, Mark Twain Riverboat, Rise of the Resistance, and Mickey’s Toontown.

Are there any ticket discounts?

Typically Disney offers Magic Key Holders or So. California Residents special discounts on special event tickets; but not this time. All tickets will cost the same $129.

One of the things Disney has built on is Disney Princesses. Most little girls dream of the opportunity to meet their favorite Disney Princess. This event will be just as popular as the Halloween Nite Events or Sweetheart’s Nite. We can’t wait to see what this event holds as far as themed food and themed menu items, high-energy entertainment, and who you’ll be able to meet and greet (royalty for sure).

Will you be attending this Magical Event? Who are you looking forward to meeting? We hope this is something Disneyland will do for years to come.

Let us know if you’re going and who you’re going with!
