EPCOT

Epcot originally stood for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Walt Disney wanted to create a utopian city that would be a model for other cities to come. Although the vision for this park has changed several times since, today Epcot is a celebration of all cultures. Its World Showcase features 11 pavilions—each themed and representative of a specific country. The second area of this park is called Future World. This area includes many avant-garde pavilions that highlight global innovations in ecology, space travel, sea exploration and much more.

Age Group: Tweens, Teens, Adults
Park Characteristics: Epcot is well known for its fine dining. Every country in the World Showcase has food options that are authentic to the region. This park is fun for kids to associate their favorite Disney characters with their associated nationality. For example, you can find Winnie the Pooh in the United Kingdom and Aladdin and Princess Jasmine in Morocco.
Events: Every year, Epcot hosts an International Food and Wine Festival, featuring the best refreshments from each country in the World Showcase. Any time of year, however, you can find country-specific alcoholic beverages at the World Showcase. Epcot also has nighttime spectaculars for all visitors to enjoy. These include water projection and fireworks on the water in the middle of the World Showcase.
