Earlier this month, Disney dropped the list of limited-time dining offerings for the Disney World 50th anniversary celebration, much to the rejoicing of Disney foodies everywhere. With a tasty blend of nostalgic favorites and EARidescent flair, you’re sure to find a Disney 50th anniversary snack, treat or sip to satisfy whatever you’re craving.
This may be Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, but there are more than 150 festive food and drink items on offer at The World’s Most Magical Celebration. But don’t worry, running for 18 months from October 1, 2021 to around April 2022, you’ll have plenty of time to try it all. As you explore the massive Central Florida resort, be sure to fire up your My Disney Experience app to help you keep all the items on your to-eat list straight.
As hinted at earlier, a fair amount of the celebratory eats that are available are nods to the classic dishes that were served way back in 1971 when the Walt Disney World Resort opened its doors for the very first time. You’ll even get to try updated spins on some of Walt’s personal recipes.
Wondering what the man behind Mickey Mouse liked to eat? Think simple, hearty comfort food fare like chili, fried chicken and roast beef hash crowned with a fried egg. As for dessert, be sure to save room for sweets inspired by some of Walt’s favorite flavors like lemon, chocolate and apple.
As this is Walt Disney World, many 50th anniversary food items and drinks also take their inspiration from the rides and characters that bring the theme parks to life. So, be on the lookout for playful details made out of chocolate and other sweet ingredients. And, of course, don’t forget about all that EARidescence.
Magic Kingdom Park
The first-ever Disney World theme park, you can bet that Magic Kingdom has delightful anniversary eats to try. Here you’ll find a sentimental array of dishes, many inspired by some of the park’s original attractions and restaurants, along with Walt Disney himself. There’s even an item on offer that was actually sold at one of the first Magic Kingdom restaurants.
Aside from all the Disney 50th anniversary dining options outlined below, you’ll also want to save time – and stomach space – for a fan-favorite sweet with a celebratory twist: the churro. Two different 50th anniversary churros are available at food kiosks around Magic Kingdom. The Dumbo Churro is a sweet and salty treat that’s rolled in peanut dust and served in a Dumbo-themed bag, with the Royal 50th Churro is covered in strawberry sugar, drizzled with marshmallow cream and doused with shimmer sprinkles. If that isn’t yummy enough, both come with chocolate sauce for dipping.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Much of Disney’s Hollywood Studios take its visual cues from the glitz and glamour of the golden age of Hollywood. So, don’t be surprised to find festive gilded accents on many of the food and drinks available here. After all, the 50th anniversary is also known as a golden anniversary.
As many of you know, the best way to celebrate an anniversary (or anything really!) is with a boozy beverage. If you agree, be sure to stop by either The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge, Oasis Canteen, Sunshine Day Bar or Animation Bar. Each of these Disney World bars will be shaking up the soiree’s signature cocktail, Shimmer Over the Moon, a fruity cocktail of Ole Smokey apple pie moonshine, amaretto, falernum, pineapple juice and club soda served with a souvenir glow cube.
