Mickey’s Toontown Reopening Changed To March 19th

Today Disney announced that the Mickey’s Toontown reopening will be changed from March 8th to March 19th, 2023. Their official statement is below. The land, which has been closed for almost a year, has only partially reopened with the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction. This happened at the start of the Disney100 Celebration that is going on at the Disneyland Resort.

Currently the area directly surrounding the Runaway Railway attraction is open though no stores, dining or other attractions are. This incudes the Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin attraction. A new green space area across from Roger Rabbit is open and features a large turf area with trees and lampposts. The Roger Rabbit fountain has been removed from that area.

Due to heavy winter storms that impacted our construction momentum, we are adjusting the reopening date of Mickey’s Toontown to March 19. We can’t wait for our Guests to visit and experience the reimagined land.”
