Rides with a Height Requirement of 32 inches (82cm) or Taller:
When looking at the attractions offered at Disneyland California Adventure, there are a couple of options that are limited by this height requirement.

- Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree
Along with this, the main Disneyland park does offer an entertaining ride called Autopia. This ride is available for kids as long as the child is accompanied by a rider that is taller than 54 inches.
Rides with a Height Requirement of 35 inches (89cm) or Taller:
It is a fact that most entertaining rides are set in Disneyland and not in the area of California Adventure. With this in mind, it is the Gadget’s Go Coaster that comes as a viable option for anyone who fulfills the 35 inches, as mentioned above, height requirement.
Rides with a Height Requirement of 38 inches (97cm) or Taller:
Going for a Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is sure to provide you with the much-needed adrenaline rush.
Rides with a Height Requirement of 40 inches (102cm) or Taller:
There are several attractions that are highlighted by this height limit, including:
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad set in Disneyland
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! set in California Adventure
- Jumping Jellyfish in California Adventure
- Radiator Springs Racers set in CA
- Silly Symphony Swings set in CA

Rides with a Height Requirement of 42 inches (107cm) or Taller:
Additionally, several attractions have this limit with most set at California Adventure, including Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Grizzly River Run, and Goofy’s Sky School.
Also, the Matterhorn Bobsleds set in Disneyland also has this height requirement.
Rides with a Height Requirement of 46 inches (117cm) or Taller:
Indiana Jones Adventure, which is one of the most recognizable rides in Disneyland, does have this height limit.
Rides with a Height Requirement of 48 inches (122cm) or Taller:
Not to forget, there are also a couple of attractions that not everyone can attend. Given the height mentioned above requirement, there are two specific CA rides:

- Silly Symphony Swings
Rides with a Height Requirement of 54 inches (137cm) or Taller:
We already mentioned that somebody who is 32 inches could ride Autopia as long as they are accompanied by a person that is 54 inches or taller. This is the exact height requirement for riding alone!
The Disneyland Rider Switch
Although there are rides that are highlighted by strict height requirements, there are several attractions that don’t have this. What that means is that you could enjoy a full day of Disneyland fun even if your kids can’t enter most of the rides mentioned above.
However, we do understand that you may still want to give your kids an experience that they are sure to remember. For this purpose, the so-called Rider Switch exists. What it allows is for one waiting adult while other members that satisfy the requirements take the ride.
Once that group is done, the waiting adult can take the kids on a ride. This feature is pretty great considering the fact that everyone who wants to ride can do it without a lot of trouble.
On the other hand, if there is someone who doesn’t want to ride but can’t wait alone, the Rider Switch works here as well, considering the fact there will be others who are waiting for their turn. This is done by dividing one group into two parties, of which the waiting one can be comprised of a maximum of three members.
Final Thoughts
Disneyland management does its best to keep the amusement park as baby and toddler friendly as possible. Yes, there are several attractions that are limited by the existing height requirements, but this still doesn’t mean that the whole family can’t enjoy the fun.
